More and more new places are opening their doors inBruges.Cheers to that!I wouldn’t call myselfa foodieif I didn’t go try them out, of course ? Here’s a short review and some photos of my experience at Mister Spaghetti.
In addition to the restaurants inRoeselare,Aalst,Hasselt, andSint-Truiden, it was now (that is, one month ago) Bruges' turn.
You won’t see me ordering a classic spaghetti Bolognese anywhere anytime soon, because no version can hold a candle to my mom’s. Luckily, Mister Spaghetti’s menu is soextensivethat I even had a bit of a hard time deciding. After all, don’t you just want to try a little bit of everything?
No sooner said than done! One of their menu options is“a trio of sauces,”perfect for those who can never make up their minds. Or for a group with different tastes. To each his own, as they say. That’s how it is with my boyfriend and me, too. We made our decision and ordered“Spaghetti Bolognese Mister B. A Chicken,”“Coc-a-nut Chick,” and“Cheesy Lover.”

As you can see, you're presented with a blank plate that you can then customize to your own desire You can help yourself to the delicious food right in front of you. Each person gets their own serving of spaghetti. Really hungry? You can always order more spaghetti! The trio of sauces is served in small jars and kept warm by the candles underneath. At first I thought, “Oh, that’s not much sauce,” but I quickly changed my mind. ? You can also order an extra serving of some of the sauces.
On the table itself, there are three kindsof Tabascofor those who want it just a little spicier, as well as a mini cheese grater and cubed Parmesan cheese. Be careful not to grate your own fingers!
We also cater to vegetarians and people who follow a gluten-free or lactose-intolerant diet. So everyone is truly welcome.
Conclusion: They'll definitely see me back there again, if only for the cozy interior and to try all the other sauces.
