Vegan pasta for students and anyone else who's hungry
A Bolognese without meat or dairy? Here, it’s called Mister B. Vegan. Wishfull Shrinking combines whole-wheat spaghetti, extra vegetables, and a vegan sauce on one plate. On weekdays outside of school breaks, Mister B Vegan is also part of the lunch deal, served with coffee, tea, cappuccino, or latte macchiato. Vegetarians can enjoy Cheesy Lover with four cheeses, as well as many dishes that we can prepare vegetarian-style.
The allergen filter does the searching
Our website features an allergen filter. You check off what you need to avoid—such as gluten, milk, eggs, soy, or mustard—and the menu will show only the items that are safe for you. It’s a handy way to make your selection in advance, so you won’t have to start doing the math at the table after an evening at the NTGent Schouwburg. Be sure to include your allergy in your reservation. That way, the staff will know about it before you even step onto Botermarkt.

How to Get to the Botermarkt
The city center is part of the low-emission zone and the traffic management plan, so it’s best to park your car at the Vrijdagmarkt or Sint-Michiels parking lots. From the Gent-Dampoort station, it’s about a 15-minute walk. If you arrive at Gent-Sint-Pieters, take the tram to the city center. Walking along the Graslei and the Korenlei, or past the Gravensteen and St. Bavo’s Cathedral, makes for a pleasant stroll to your table.
